The Can-Am SCRABBLE® Challenge has pitted the top Canadian players against the top players from the U.S.A. each year since 2002. The winning team gets possession of the Challenge Trophy, with players' names engraved for posterity. Conceived by Joel Wapnick and Zev Kaufman, with support from the National SCRABBLE® Association, this event features some of the best Scrabble competition in the world. This web site was set up by John Chew and Chris Cree at the request of the 2007 Challenge participants.
The Challenge returns to Toronto on June 21–22, 2008. Players will qualify to represent their countries based on their peak ratings during a one-year period, as described at the NSA web site. For more information, please contact tournament director John Chew at +1 416 876 7675 or jjchew@math.utoronto.ca.
